The weeks are just flying by!
This week we will finish up with long division this week, after a little more work using it in story problems. Most children seem to be doing well with division, and I'm trying to help out the others.
More ELA practice! We will practice answering questions that are based on two separate selections. One a story and the other an article. The children will practice using details from each to compare, contrast information; or maybe decide whether or not the information is correct.
We will learn about the Tridiuum this week in Religion, and I am hoping to have a quiz on it Thursday. As I said last week, Lent is far from over; we have projects and activities we will continue do to throughout the Lenten season.
Our Social Studies will now be on Wednesday so ask your child about the Civil War and slavery, the Underground Railroad, and Freedom Quilts, fact or fiction??
We'll finish up the first chapter in Science with Lessons 4-6, and have a test hopefully on Friday, it may include questions from lessons 1-3. Please remember your child should have workbook pages and information in their Science notebook to study from. There is also the Feb/March National Geographic and a Conservationist "magazine" they can use to review, recall facts about animal's adaptations.
Have a great week!!
